About Banking Exams:
Here’s a breakdown of the process for PO and Clerk exams:
- Phase I (Prelims):
- Subjects: Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, English
- Time: 1 hour (20 mins per section)
- Format: 100 questions (MCQs)
- Phase II (Mains):
- Subjects: Reasoning, Quant, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge
- Time: 2–3 hours (with sectional time limits)
- Format: 120–190 questions
- Phase III (Interview): For PO level only.
Note: Each exam may have slight variations, but the preparation part remains almost similar.
Also, some banks (like ICICI, Axis, PNB, BOB, IOB, AB, Canara, Syndicate) in a tie-up with Manipal University, offer a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance (PGDBF). The candidate is offered an appointment as PO, on successful completion of the program.
